ABOUT THE SHOW.

Brooklyn Art Haus and Eccentric Bear Theater Co. have come together to bring you a variety show that's your monthly escape from the mundane: a world of sublime insanity where anything can happen and everyone gets to be a star. Your mysterious emcee beckons you through our playground of clowns, carnies, comedians, crooners, and queens who promise to amaze and delight. But watch out. You never know what surprises might lie just behind the curtain…

THE MUSIC.

Richard Lowenburg is Eccentric Cabaret's masterful house pianist. This Brooklyn-based musician, actor, and teaching artist can be heard playing keys with the jazz-funk band Mysa. As an actor, he’s performed new plays at the Tank and Dixon Place and in the films Magic Hour and Hold Your Breath.

THE HOST.

Mr. Eccentric is part used-car salesman, part circus ringmaster, and all charm. Your affable guide through the world of Eccentric Cabaret: Mr. E has many tricks up his sleeve. He's dedicated his life to showing off his collection of entertainers, and he's always on the lookout for the next big star. Who knows? That star could be YOU!

HUXLEY RAIN GARRETT

Huxley Rain Garrett (She/They) is an NYC-based queer theatre artist whose work is grounded in Clown and Bouffon! Huxley is a (somewhat) proud graduate of NYU Tisch, where they earned their BFA in Drama as well as a minor in Applied Theatre!

C.W. HEADLEY

C.W. Headley (He/Him) is a comedian, musician, and writer, best known for reviving both The Dougie and Millie Rocking.

REBECCA KIDNIE

Award-winning soprano Rebecca Kidnie (She/Her) is a versatile artist currently based in NYC. Described as “achingly beautiful,” Rebecca’s voice finds a home in repertoire from Mozart to the contemporary. A frequent interpreter of German Lieder, she is next performing Schumann’s Dichterliebe in New Jersey. Rebecca wrote her first comedic character for her school assembly in 6th grade and has been a muse of the stage ever since. Her self written one woman show, Rita Libretto is: The Ring Cycle tells the story of Wagner’s Ring Cycle through the eyes of Rita, an almost-making-it aging soprano. ANIA UPSTILL & DANIELLE LEVSKY

Ania Upstill (They/Them) is a trans and queer clown and theater maker. They have toured to Palestine with Clowns Without Borders USA, and have taught clown internationally. Ania has also performed clown and drag acts at venues in New York City including House of Yes, The Duplex and The Tank. Danielle Levsky (She/They) is a queer transdisciplinary theater artist whose creative practice focuses on clown and physical theatre, poetry, creative essays, dramaturgy, and movement education. As the child of Soviet Jewish refugees, issues of diaspora, tradition, resilience, and humor have deeply shaped their work. Onstage, Danielle has written, performed, and produces a series of solo performances, as well as devised ensemble work. She also teaches workshops in person and online on clown practice and performance, Jewish clown history, and her original creation, The Fool's Yoga, a movement class that blends vinyasa yoga, meditation, and clown exercises/games. Daddy Dallan (He/They) is the campy boylesque drag king you need in your life and in your bedroom. Here to steal your ones and your wives, he aims to tease and please with his fun and flirty stylings! You can find him dancing all around Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan!
